In the bustling neighborhood of Chagoua in N’Djamena, where the alleyways buzz with life day and night, Agon, son of this vibrant land, was born. He quickly became a reflection of his surroundings: a blend of vitality and creativity, shaped by the sounds and colors of his neighborhood.

Chagoua, with its lively cabarets and colorful markets, is a place where music is as omnipresent as the air we breathe. It was in this environment that tragedy struck early in Agon’s life, taking away his younger brother. Music then became his refuge, his outlet, the means through which he maintained a connection with his lost brother and expressed his deep emotions.

While navigating computer science courses, Agon never ceased to be drawn to the melodies that rocked his childhood. He then embarked on a musical adventure, mixing traditional Chadian influences with alternative and pop rhythms. Joining the independent label Fêt’art, he began to shape his artistic identity, quickly becoming an emerging voice on the Chadian scene. His collaboration with local icons, such as the indispensable Afrotronix, allowed him to weave even more tightly the thread of his roots into his compositions.

The year 2023 marked a turning point for the son of Chagoua. Agon launched “ONZE,” his first album, a work that captures the essence of his native neighborhood and his personal journey. The single “Saamha,” released in December, resonated beyond the borders of N’Djamena, captivating listeners across Chad and beyond on international platforms.

His collaboration on the track “Te Amo” by Calema, with Afrotronix and Elete, confirmed his ascent and cemented his reputation, reflecting the energy and resilience of Chagoua. In March 2024, this upward trajectory took a new dimension when Agon signed a deal with XOL Music for an upcoming EP.

Agon, the son of Chagoua, continues to tell his story through his music, embracing his heritage while forging a future where the vibrations of his neighborhood resonate in every note and every word he creates.
